I wanted to grab a different type of shot this year at the air show. I don't have the equipment to get that killer close-up shot. Here I literally followed the jets as they went directly overhead, actually bending over backwards...This is now one of my favorite photos that I've ever taken...

Liqours Wine Beer
I have tried to use the Holga a bit more lately and try to gain at least a minimum comfort level with the camera. I have lost count at this point how many times I have forgotten to remove the lens cap. I have been a comedy of errors trying to use this camera. On the other hand, it is a lot of fun so see the results...

Emerge
After lots of frustration and bad shots, I am starting to get a little more capable with the Holga. I like the 135 bc because it is quite small and easy to carry, and you can get the film processed everywhere. I like the Fuji Superia 400 and the kodak 400 bw cn. One thing I have found with the Fuji film:
When you release the film to be wound with the button on the bottom side of the camera, there is still a lot of tension on the film. So, when winding the film into the canister if you let the winder go, the film will pull back the other way. When you continue winding it will scratch your film due to the initial lack of tension. Just what I have found.
Also, I forget to take off the lens cap all the time, just leave it off, it will save you a lot of wasted shots. Just passing along a few things that will hopefully be of help to someone else. The camera is a lot of fun to use and going to pick up the film and see what you captured is pretty exciting...

Nichols Bridgeway
This bridge such an interesting photographic opportunity...The entire area there offers such visually interesting things between the musuem, the bridge and the park...these two just happened to be coming by with no one else in that area of the bridge...

Myrtle Beach
One of my first rolls with the Holga 135bc...I do not think I have ever been so frustrated as I was trying to get used to using this camera while on vacation. I ruined 3 rolls of film because I kept forgetting to push the little button on the underside so that I could unwind the film...It was exciting to pick up the results and see what I had. I love this camera, and I cannot wait to use it more and get more of an understanding as to what you get...I guess that is the thing with the holga, you never really know what you will get...
The Ride Home
I love this one, it's such an urban shot, it was so lucky though...the passing train and that shadow just worked out perfectly...There is no way i could have planned this one...
Fishing Buddies
There is something special about the lake front any time of year, but especially now in the summer. The view and weather patterns from such a large body of water just make for inspiring scenes...
